As a Youth Advisory Board Member I actively participate in our monthly virtual meetings, where we discuss our continuous efforts to combat bullying and exciting upcoming projects. Some of my favorite annual projects include, The Unity Awards, Run Walk Roll and Unity Day!
What is PACER’s NBPC?“Founded in 2006, PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center actively leads social change to prevent childhood bullying, so that all youth are safe and supported in their schools, communities and online. PACER provides innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and others, and recognizes bullying as a serious community issue that impacts education, physical and emotional health, and the safety and well-being of students.”

Some important Statistics on bullying:
- 21% of students with health impairments face high levels of bullying victimization
- 19% of students with specific learning disabilities face high levels of bullying victimization
- 22% of students report being bullied
- 46% of bullied students report notifying an adult at school on the incident
- 13% of tweens (9-12 years old) reported experiencing bullying in school and online
- 1% report being bullied solely online
- 49.8% of teens reported feeling bullied at school
- 14.5% of teens reported being bullied online
Sadly, even in 2024, we cannot escape bullying. It’s everywhere, spanning from Elementary schools to corporate America
